Local, Sustainable, Daverill.
This is Dave when he started at ONE/Northwest (now Groundwire) way back in February 2002.
This is Dave now. Do you see what a decade at Groundwire has done to him? Oh sure, the job has changed dramatically; from managing a small group of hardware experts to managing our worldwide empire of consultants, from Seattle to Portland to Goshen, Indiana. (We think Goshen is close to that town from Parks and Recreation but we don’t want to check because if it’s not, we don’t want to have our worldview shattered.)
In the decade that Dave has served at Groundwire, his job, and what the organization does, have been transformed many times over. We now have dozens of projects going at once, and Dave sits astride the bucking bronco that is our project queue, trying to make sure all the projects meet our clients' needs, come in on budget and get done in a timely manner. It’s a difficult job (the phrase “cat herding” comes to mind) and one that he handles with aplomb and grace. It’s so difficult that those of us who work with him are willing to accept his occasional crimes against spelling and the English language in exchange for the good he is doing the world.
Groundwire owes a lot to Dave as he has helped transform the organization from a small, regionally focused organization to one with clients and partners spread across North America. This process has not always been smooth, or easy, but we've always known we could count on Dave to do his part, and do it with a great sense of humor, absolute dedication and a smile on his face.
Thanks Dave.
