Okay. You know how sometimes you wake up on a holiday weekend with nothing planned and you're like, "This is it, I've got to shake this cabin fever, I'm just going to drive out toward Stevens Pass and find a hike (other than Wallace Falls). Oh, and I better figure out if there's snow on the trail, how steep and far it is, and what to look out for so I don't miss anything cool."

Next time this is you (like, this weekend), go to wta.org and check out their amazing new map tool featuring WTA's huge database of hiking trails. The new map makes it super-easy to find, explore and search over 1000 trails. You can filter by distance, elevation gain, kid-friendliness and more. And the map provides instant access to thousands of constantly-updated trip reports from WTA's statewide community of hikers.

We think this is a fantastic demonstration of how WTA keeps on deepening and developing their trail-related engagement superpowers

While we did do some of the backend wiring-up of data to the map, most of the heavy lifting was done by an all-star WTA volunteer, Andrew Gove, whose day job just happens to be working on Google Maps!

See you on the trail!
