Speed Geek Happy Hour
Join us at Groundwire HQ for happy hour and a quick round of Speed Geeking. (It's kinda like Speed Dating, but without the uncomfortable pauses and detailed pet stories. Well, maybe a few pet stories.) During our Speed Geek Happy Hour, you'll have the chance to move around to six different stations o' technology and see how real-life staff members from the environmental nonprofit community are effectively using our online tools and strategies.
Environmental Lobby Day 2010
Every year, the environmental community identifies legislative priorities to rally resources and grassroots support around during Washington State’s legislative session. In the 2008, Environmental Priorities Coalition successfully passed all four environmental priorities. It was accomplished through dedicated citizen involvement at Lobby Day who are passionate about the environment.
Storytelling, Tapping the Power of Narrative
Please note: This course is comprised of four online classes, two in February and two in March. Each class is one hour, from 9-10am PT. Dates are Feb. 16, Feb. 23, March 2 and March 9, 2010 In this class, Andy Goodman will explain why storytelling is the single most powerful communication tool you possess, and he will offer specific techniques for using stories to advance your mission.
