An Event in Plone is a specially formatted page that makes it easy to publish event details such as: Event Start and End Times, Event Types, Attendees, Directions, Contact Info, and more.

Plone comes with a couple of ways to help you list your events in a convenient package. The Events Collection will display a chronogical list of events, the Event Portlet displays upcoming events in a sidebar.
