Washington Trails Association has the largest online hiking database in the country. It's also one of Washington's largest volunteer-driven environmental organizations. They get people out on Washington's hiking trails, organize thousands of hours of volunteer trail maintenance each year, and advocate for non-motorized recreation funding and opportunities.
Sierra Club of Canada B.C. Chapter
Sierra Club BC works to protect the beautiful forests, wildlife and marine ecosystems of British Columbia. They press for strong, effective wilderness and wildlife protection, to make BC a leader in tackling climate change, to advocate for parks , to cultivate a new generation of environmentalist, and publishes educational resources on BC’s ancient rainforests, logging activity, land use, salmon, and global warming.
Snow Leopard Trust
Researchers estimate that there are between 3,500 and 7,000 snow leopards left in the wild. Snow Leopard Trust is working to increase those numbers. Founded in 1981, the Snow Leopard Trust is the world's leading authority on the study and protection of the endangered snow leopard.
