The shared server that was inaccessible is coming back up, and sites that were unavailable should be accessible again shortly. The outage occurred because the system ran out of RAM due to a failure in our memory monitoring process, which we are investigating and fixing.

Certain sites of ours have been affected by a denial-of-service attack on the data center from where they're hosted. Most of them now seem responsive, although we're not sure whether there will be further outages in coming hours.

All servers are up, but we're not sure if permanently. We're moving to migrate all sites on our plagued bandon server to more reliable hosting at Amazon.

The "bandon" server has unexpectedly gone offline. We are monitoring the situation with our upstream provider and will provide updates as available.

WhatCounts Scheduled Maintenance
According to an email from email newsletter provider WhatCounts, they're scheduling maintenance Sunday 11/15, 8PM to 12AM PST.

We've set up a brand new server to replace the one affected by hard disk issues. All sites are back and running and no data were lost. If you were affected, we apologize for the downtime and appreciate your patience!

One of our servers has experienced a hard disk failure which has resulted in a number of sites being down. We are working on restoring the server and hopefully will have it back within an hour. We don't anticipate data loss.
